Ark Visual Studio By Hagar Erez – The rebranding for ToTo restaurant
Toto Restaurant, owned by renowned Chef Yaron Shalev, is a beloved institution in Tel Aviv. The 500 sqm restaurant and café located in the Museum Tower next to the Tel-Aviv Museum of Art offer a culinary experience that combines the best of the past and present.
The interior was designed by Studio Mu, a local firm which enriched the restaurant with modern inspired items and furnishings. The ToTo cuisine combines the best from the past and the finest from today’s culture. The talented Shalev has been considered a brilliant influence to the Israeli culinary scene.
The newly designed ToTo typeface was created by Hagar Erez and Bogidar Mascarenas, who carefully crafted the design to reflect the brand’s core values of movement, sharpness, heritage, raw materials, and method. The typeface includes three character sets of uppercase and lowercase, creating a dynamic system that reflects Chef Shalev’s culinary vision.
Ark Visual is a Tel Aviv-based studio working within the realms of hospitality, food & beverage, fashion, beauty and lifestyle.
Hagar Erez is a graduate of Jerusalem’s Department of Visual Communication at Bezalel Academy of Art and Design. Her studio’s work explores and stretches the boundaries of visual language, offering 360° brand identity, visual language and website design.
