Alessandri Design is excited to reveal the new brand identity for Proxygen, a pioneering biotech company. In a departure from the typical cold, clinical imagery often seen in the biotech and pharmaceutical industries, Alessandri Design has crafted a unique visual language that blends the spirit of scientific discovery with the precision of genetic innovation.

A Bold Visual Language
The new branding is inspired by Darwin’s voyages of discovery, with elements such as the chameleon hunting for proteins with its sticky tongue and the typographic style of early scientific publications. In contrast to other biotech companies this branding creates a dynamic visual identity that communicates Proxygen’s cutting-edge work in biotechnology while embracing a more organic, human-centric approach.
“We wanted to break away from the standard biotech aesthetic and create something that felt both scientific and full of discovery,” said Cordula Alessandri, Creative Director. “The new branding evokes the curiosity and adventure of science, while also reflecting Proxygen’s focus on advancing genetic research.”

Brand Elements
The logo incorporates natural, organic forms, with a color palette inspired by nature, conveying both the precision of Proxygen’s technology and the wonder of its scientific journey. The typography evokes the tradition of early scientific texts, grounding the brand in a rich history of discovery while looking boldly to the future.
