The Chicago Latino Film Festival in this year celebrates its 40th! The Chicago Latino Film Festival is the oldest festival of its kind in the United States.

Concept Poster:
The visual solution of the poster is based on the “Lighthouse” metaphor and occupies a central location in the format. The semantic image of a lighthouse carries various meanings and can be interpreted in different ways: it can be enlightenment and awareness, service and help, trust and faith, guidance and direction, the personification of loneliness and opposition to the world around us, and much more.

In the poster, the image of a lighthouse to underlined by the bright glow of a beam of light that pierces the format across its entire width. The light of the lighthouse acts as a bridge, illuminating, pointing to the right path. All this is to interpret the scale and significance of the 40th Chicago Latin American Film Festival. To reflect the Festival’s core mission of presen and celebrat Iberoamerica’s diverse cultures.

The Chicago Latino Film Festival (CLFF) is produced every April by the International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago (ILCC), a pan-Latino, nonprofit, multidisciplinary arts organization dedicated to developing, promoting, and increasing awareness of Latino culture among Latinos and other communities by presenting a wide variety of art forms. The Chicago Latino Film Festival is considered the largest, most comprehensive and best Latino film festival in the United States, and presents over 100 films of cultural and social significance from Latin America, Spain, Portugal and the U.S. The Festival stresses the importance of the artistic and educational value of film.
