Plot 45 creates brand identity and packaging for Beaucoup Flavor that’s straight out of the test kitchen

A whole lot of flavour with a whole lot behind it. Founded by Jeremy Nagin, Beaucoup Flavor is a Black-owned spice mix company that launches with an initial drop of three premium spice blends. Each one inspired by Nagin’s Creole heritage and decades of experience behind the scenes as a head development chef. St. Beaucoup, the brand’s signature flavor made with sea salt, garlic, and the Holy Trinity (onion, bell pepper, and tomato); 3:30 Sunday, which takes barbecue culture and mixes it with Nagin’s Creole roots; and Tu Sabes, a Tex-Mex-meets-Creole blend of French sea salt, chipotle, cayenne pepper, cumin, and cilantro.

“How do you take an already rich culture and mesh it with another rich culture?”

Enter Barcelona-based Plot 45, creators of the Beaucoup brand identity, packaging and art direction. Led by Beaucoup’s focussed strapline ‘Flavor/Culture’, the identity brings credibility to flavour through authentic storytelling.

With a compact typographical and visual style, the brand evokes an exclusivity akin to the worlds of fashion, music and sport. A nod to Beaucoup’s role as the plug, empowering consumers with an ‘if you know you know’ attitude.

So what’s to know?

Dig deeper behind each pack’s lead graphic and intimate names and you’ll discover the story behind each blend’s inspiration: Mardi Gras masks for NOLA hero blend St. Beaucoup, burning flames inspired-by Nagin and his brother’s Sunday grill sessions and ‘El Mundo’ from the Mexican card game ‘La Loteria’ to pay homage to Nagin’s Mexican kitchen crew. Each image is finished with a transparent holofoil to add a baseball card collectability.
