The Pleasure Gin label, inspired by Ivano Felaco’s work Lussuria, is a visual homage to the complexity of desire. The concept fuses Dante’s symbol of the leopard, the embodiment of desire, with Eros, the god of love, creating a play on the contrasts between physical attraction and spiritual passion. This dualism that emerges from the design reflects the essence of the gin itself, evoking a refined and satisfying lust that is not only physical but also emotional.
A distinctive element is the die-cut scratch in the centre of the label, a window into the mystery of the bottle that only partially reveals the product. This detail attracts attention and stimulates touch, creating a unique sensory experience. The deliberately imperfect scratch itself becomes a symbol of desire: an opening that invites the consumer to discover the essence of the gin in an unusual way. The viewer is drawn to touch, to feel the contrast between the softness of the cotton paper and the smooth transparency of the glass underneath. The paper chosen is cotton, fine and refined, giving the sensation of a precious fabric to the touch. This noble material enriches the sensory experience, perfectly matching the concept of not only visual but also tactile pleasure, reinforcing the perception of subtle and discreet luxury.
The design of Pleasure Gin is carefully crafted to create a mythical atmosphere around the product. The use of golden mist gives a sense of an ethereal world where love and lust intertwine, symbolizing sublime pleasure. Additionally, the font used is reminiscent of the characters in Dante’s works, adding a cultural and literary nuance to the design. This brings to mind the atmosphere of Dante’s Purgatory, giving the label a historical and poetic aura. Every detail in the design is intended to create a sensory and intellectual experience that goes beyond simply consuming gin. Instead, it invites the observer to be fascinated and explore the mystery. Pleasure Gin is not just a drink, but a celebration of art, love, and lust.
