Concept
Tigerlily is a brand dedicated to crafting durable sunglasses that offer superior UV400 protection. The brand was created with a focus on combining safety and resilience with a vibrant, playful aesthetic. Tigerlily’s sunglasses are designed to withstand the adventures of curious, energetic children, ensuring they can explore the world confidently and in style.
Approach
The design process for Tigerlily began with the creation of a wordmark logo that captures the brand’s essence of playful durability. The logo features quirky, imperfect typography that adds a sense of fun and spontaneity, perfectly aligning with the brand’s target audience. A modified tiger’s tail is incorporated into the descender of the ‘Y,’ sparking the imagination of both children and parents and reinforcing the brand’s adventurous spirit.
The packaging design is another key element in bringing the Tigerlily brand to life. Utilizing a tube substrate, the packaging is wrapped in bold colors and lively illustrations, including various animal mascots that add character and appeal. The messaging on the packaging is casual and whimsical, balancing the adventurous theme without feeling forced. The tagline, “All good things are wild & free,” wraps around the neck of the packaging, further enhancing the brand’s playful and free-spirited image.
While the packaging is designed to be visually engaging and fun for children, it also communicates safety and trust to parents. Clear value propositions and storytelling are integrated into the design, ensuring that parents feel confident in the quality and safety of the sunglasses. The combination of vibrant visuals and reassuring messaging makes Tigerlily a brand that both children and parents can love.
Through its thoughtful design and attention to detail, Tigerlily successfully marries the concepts of safety, durability, and playful adventure, creating a product that allows children to explore the world with confidence and style.
