Laburnum is a boutique residential complex in Canada, consisting of six exclusive four-bedroom homes designed for calm, family-focused and multi-generational living. The project explores how quiet luxury can be expressed through a functional identity system that other disciplines can actively use.
At the core of the brand is an L-based monogram constructed from multiple interlocking “L” shapes, forming four heart-like figures that subtly reference the four-bedroom layouts and the idea of different generations and cultures living together under one roof. This symbol acts not only as a logo, but as a modular graphic device that can be cropped, repeated and scaled across print, digital and spatial applications.
The colour system is deliberately minimal and rooted in earthy tones, designed with real-world use in mind. In practice, the identity will be implemented by 3D artists and interior architects, so the palette functions as a calm, flexible framework that integrates naturally with materials such as wood, stone, textiles and architectural lighting. Rather than imposing a rigid set of “brand colours”, it offers a reliable atmosphere that can adapt to 3D renders, interior schemes and digital interfaces.
A restrained typographic system unifies the brand across web, print and on-site applications, prioritising clarity, softness and a quiet, timeless presence over stylistic noise. Together, the monogram, colour system and typography create an identity that behaves like infrastructure: a clear, scalable framework that supports collaboration while keeping Laburnum’s character — safe, refined and genuinely livable — intact.
