Paying homage to the unique geographical influence of the region, which is truly Admiral-able

Voice – Old Jarvie

“In creating a new McLaren Vale-based range of wines, winemakers Richard and Malcolm Leask sought to truly pay homage to the unique geographic influence of the region. The gulf that laps the coastline of McLaren Vale was named in 1802 in honour of the First Earl of St Vincent, Admiral John Jervis. Nicknamed Old Jarvie, the Admiral kept tight control over his fleet, just as his Gulf controls the growing conditions in McLaren Vale. The maritime influence of the Gulf St Vincent shapes the grape growing conditions of McLaren Vale dramatically, to either be fought or embraced. Similarly, Old Jarvie was a man of contrasts, quick to ruthlessly punish or reward his men as he saw fit. Each wine in the range tells a story of Old Jarvie’s command, both generous and savage, graphically interpreted over a portrait of the Admiral himself. Bright seafoam green caps top off a modern seafaring packaging range, deeply steeped in history.”
