The Challenge:
Patoosh, a well-known dining brand in Kano, was preparing to move into a new location with a refined guest experience. While their food had earned loyalty, their visual identity hadn’t evolved with their growth. The brand needed a visual language that reflected its elevated, modern direction — without losing the warmth and accessibility it was known for.
The Opportunity:
We saw a strategic gap: an inconsistent brand perception that didn’t match the elevated experience Patoosh was about to offer. This wasn’t just a visual facelift — it was a repositioning. We proposed a refined brand identity system that aligned with the new Patoosh: luxury-leaning, yet still deeply rooted in cultural familiarity.
Our Approach:
Discovery & Insight: We audited the old brand, explored competitor space, and met with the client to understand the brand’s next chapter.
Brand Direction & Moodboarding: We explored visual cues that balance elegance with warmth.
Design Execution: We crafted a minimalist, elegant identity system with a modern logomark, sophisticated typography, and a rich yet grounded color palette.
Packaging & Brand Touchpoints: Designed collateral to support the full in-restaurant experience — menus, packaging, signage, and uniforms.
Delivery: A scalable visual identity toolkit with guidelines for consistency as the brand grows.
Result:
A refreshed brand identity that reflects Patoosh’s evolution — from a beloved local eatery to a lifestyle dining experience. Bold enough to lead, humble enough to connect.
