Passe Muraille is an events communications agency based in Strasbourg since 1994. They provide a comprehensive, made-to-measure event solution: marketing diagnosis and strategic thinking, original script creation, design of an impactful artistic universe, coordination and methodical monitoring of the project, and mastery of production.
The agency works in a wide range of fields and events: Conventions, inaugurations, anniversaries, gala evenings, open days, exhibitions, trade fairs, congresses, team building, shows for the general public, urban events, cultural events, etc.
To celebrate its 30th anniversary, the agency wanted to breathe new life into its visual identity. To do this, it wanted to retain its iconic graphic element: the rocket. But instead of treating it in the same engraving style as before, it had to be given a new shape and a new graphic style.
So the logotype was designed as a toolbox. Starting with the symbol of the rocket, the design of the flame is brought to the fore, serving as a block to contain the name of the agency. Its simple design makes it perfect for use on all types of media.
The typeface used is Diagramm Black, the only change being between the “m” and the “u” where a ligature has been created.This symbolises the collaboration and strong links between the team and its customers.To complement this, small hand-drawn elements (lines, circles, arrows) add energy. A complete, stylised rocket can also be placed next to the typography to give a nod to the old identity.
A monogram version of the logotype has also been created, with the 2 letters “pm” forming a playful symbol with the addition of the flame below.
The colour palette is dynamic and comprises 7 shades. A basic white and black to contrast the information and red, yellow, blue, purple and green to vary the variations and also to differentiate the different sectors in which the agency operates.
The end result is a visual identity that is simpler in its rendering but more complete in its variations, leaving total freedom to its user and enabling the creation of a wide range of compositions.
