Palantis Transforms CorStim’s Brand Identity: A Vision for Mapping Minds and Correcting Brain Disorders

Palantis Transforms CorStim’s Brand Identity: A Vision for Mapping Minds and Correcting Brain Disorders

CorStim for “Cortical Stimulation” is a start-up specialized in the personalized treatment of people who have suffered a neurological trauma. CorStim identifies the neuromarker(s) specific to the brain disorder to be treated, then maps and models the dynamics of cortical waves. The software drives a brain stimulation device that acts on the networks to reconnect the damaged areas.

The Corstim project was initiated in 2009 by Anne Beuter, with the filing of a first patent.
Since 2011 and with the help of Bruno Chevallier and Vitaly Volpert, she has built up an international network of researchers and created the company Corstim SAS in 2019. The company is located in Montpellier and currently has 8 employees.

CorStim called on Palantis to revise its entire visual identity. The original identity, designed in-house, did not offer versatility and a current dimension to the logo. It could not evolve on all communication supports, and was not very distinctive.

Based on a typography created especially for the logo, associated with a stylized “C”, CorStim gains in legibility and becomes distinctive. The construction of the logo’s icon, recalls the statistical results obtained during the various tests carried out. It is also a logo in elliptical movement.

This graphic “C” becomes the deep signature of the company’s visual territory. It evolves on all communication supports and allows the graphic design of all branding elements.
A set of baselines related to CorStim’s activities reinforces the company’s vocation. “Mapping brains to correct brain disorders”, “Probing minds to reconnect networks”, allow us to convey a strong message to the reader.

Our visual proposal was not retained. The CorStim teams preferred a simpler and more conventional graphic territory. Nevertheless, we helped them to develop the visual identity that is currently present on their website. We developed their website and optimized the SEO, and designed and delivered all the company’s communication tools.
