Packaging Redesign for Natural Vanilla

Having spent more than 10 years perfecting their craft, Natural Vanilla are passionate about ensuring their natural vanilla products have a rich, complex and delectable flavour profile. Their extensive range of vanilla products includes pods, powders, extracts, pastes and caviar in both dry and liquid varieties. They also offer alcohol and sugar free alternatives for many of these.

Each of their products, have been created with the most full-flavoured, superior quality vanilla, which are simply pure and natural. Void of artificial colours, flavour enhancers, synthetic preservatives, fillers, allergens, chemical compounds or artificial sweeteners, they are also palm free and gluten free, making them a premium brand endorsed by novice cooks and chefs alike.

Using only the highest quality, fragrant vanilla pods as the primary ingredient in their products, the Natural Vanilla brand features the unique core ingredient –the delicate vanilla flower surrounded by seeds as the signature component of the brand. While the flower alone is beautiful, the introduction of the hummingbird as the new brand mascot truly creates a memorable symbol for the brand.

Long considered a symbol of good fortune by the Native Americans, these avian beauties symbolise joy, healing, happiness, paradise on earth, and act as a good reminder to live life to the fullest and to enjoy the simple pleasures in life – just like vanilla in its purest form.

This fascinating and unique bird provided the perfect ambassador for the new look Natural Vanilla. Most people know hummingbirds can fly forwards, backwards, upside down and seem to be able to suspend themselves mid-air while collecting nectar from deep within flowers. But what is truly amazing, is that a recent vanilla pollination mapping study in Mexico discovered that the hummingbirds have evolved to pollinate vanilla orchid flowers – making them the only other indigenous pollinators of the vanilla orchid flowers (with the other being the melipona bee.)

A truly unique and an admirable example of the natural world at work, the illustration of the hummingbird encircled within the vanilla plant as it pollinates the flower, is the purist form of communicating the natural, exquisitely lengthy ideals and values which Natural Vanilla is passionately dedicated to undertake and provide in all their products.
The range of products are available as pastes, powders and liquids, and are bottled in numerous sizes and shapes depending on their grade, volume and use. The Natural Vanilla flower icon, logotype and hummingbird feature as the unifying brand features with colour coding assigned to identify each type within the range.

The retail bottles and jars include a neck and top tamper-seal label joining to the base label and gold foil with a raised gloss UV pattern of seeds elevating the premium qualities of the brand.

Natural Vanilla launched their new branding globally at the FHA Food and Beverage Expo in Singapore in October 2022 and also exhibited in Chicago and Paris with outstanding feedback and engagement saying
“…. the new brand is exactly what it always knew it wanted to be.”
