Packaging Design for Salovito Baby and Child Products
One of the most important factors that can make packaging successful is the collaboration between the brand manager and the designer. With the help of the brand manager, who I deeply respect, we successfully went through the design stages and developed a narrative that brought soul to the behind-the-scenes of the product’s creation.
Here’s the story:
Mr. Jahed, the brand manager, is one of the most successful people in his field producing high-quality cosmetic and hygiene products. With the birth of his beloved child, he decided to create a product that addressed a long-standing concern of many mothers.
With the arrival of Mr. Jahed’s baby, we designed Napi Cream -1, a product for babies under one year old. I proposed that, in order to save paper, the inside of the box be turned into a craft activity. This way, the mother could entertain her child using the characters she creates while using the product.
When Mr. Jahed’s child turned one, he launched Napi Cream +1, and this narrative continued every year. Today, as his child turns 10, a product has been released every year matching the child’s age each of them gaining remarkable success in the market.
Despite our initial expectations, the craft concept inside the packaging was very well received.
This project, alongside Mr. Jahed, was like a professional masterclass in design for me.
