The packaging for pharmaceutical brand Elastica. It’s botox injections (cosmetic and medical).
Problem of pharmaceutical beauty brands:
As far as we all know all pharmaceutical packages look the same. Everyone uses the same stamps in everything from package construction to design. In the end No one has any distinctions which can be easily identified. And it makes some problems for doctors and “cosmeceuticals’ which can just mix up some drugs in the middle of an operation. Sometimes the result of it is no as bad, but sometimes it could be awful for both doctor and patient.
Challenge
The challenge was to invent new form factor. Our point was this medical drugs must look like something that was created by beauty industry or close to that. So, we had to avoid any design cliche in pharmaceutical industry. Firstly, we got rid of paper package. We created a package construction which doesn’t need paper. Actually, we did everything from blister, so you do not need to use extra materials (this makes the package cheaper in production). Second thing is we packed everything from drugs to instruction and addition materials like soup, creme, mask, etc., in blister. All in all we were able to create something you just couldn’t mix up with any other drug.
Identity
Identity system based on color identification and names of the drugs. But the colors we chose are always close to skin color. In the future colors are going to be diverse so that brand could be comfortable for people all around the world.
