Packaging Design for Ms.Delice Dried Fruits

Packaging Design for Ms.Delice Dried Fruits

While creating this wonderful dried fruit packaging design, naturally we were inspired by nature. Mainly from the direct connection between nature and man, because these dried fruits are considered natural and are made exclusively from natural raw materials, that’s what prompted us to reflect this on the packaging. We chose a girl as a character, who is a symbol of fertility, it is not a woman who continues to bear fruit and continue the beautiful course of life. Thus, we found an interesting solution in the design, adapting the images of a beautiful girl and sunny fruits. The packaging design turned out to be very simple, but not primitive. We chose white packaging as a symbol of purity and simplicity. White color makes our beautiful illustrations much more expressive. And the color composition is more pleasing to our eyes. We created 6 packaging designs that contain 6 types of dried fruits respectively. Dried fruits have very useful and important properties are endowed with signs, we should use it often in our diet. Nuts are rich in vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6[1]), mineral elements (iron, calcium, magnesium, phosphorus, potassium, sodium[1][2]), 100 grams contain 1.5 – 5 grams of 250 kilocalorie proteins. They have a long shelf life, and there is no need to store them in a cold place. This is the main advantage of dried fruit, and in this sense it is an alternative to fresh fruit (especially long after harvesting). However, during drying, dried fruits lose a large amount of vitamin C[3].

In cooking, dried fruits are used for making pastries, fruit bread, dry breakfasts, sweets, fruit juices. Losing most of its natural moisture during drying (up to 80 percent of the original volume of the fruit can be lost), it acquires an intense, often sweet, or sweet-sour taste and unique aroma.

In production conditions, they can be treated with nitrogen dioxide to preserve the color of the product and not to mold. Some unscrupulous manufacturers, especially in countries where control over private factories and the food products they produce is absent or of a formal nature, treat the dried fruits for the same purpose with chemical solutions and vapors that are not intended for food at all and are sometimes toxic; Insecticides and petroleum products use naturally occurring dry matter to remove dust or dirt by washing, which leaves a thin layer on the top layer of the fruit to protect against decay and harmful insects, but at the same time causes noticeable damage to the health of users, about which on the product label often there is no warning or mention. Dried fruits not treated with nitrogen dioxide may have a relatively dark color.
