La panza de Sancho is a brand of organic wines from La Mancha aimed at a young audience. the keys to development were:
Understand that it was a public very far from the traditional norms of wine and very committed to the environmental aspect. In addition, it was necessary to refer to the cultural origin of La Mancha.
After research and analysis, we developed an unapologetic brand that operates in the most experimental territory, and that does not set rules for the consumption of wine. The name alludes in a very original way to the origin of La Mancha and maintaining the fun & cool tone that we strategically define for the brand’s DNA and all its visual identity. The reference is to “Sancho Panza” companion of Don Quixote de La mancha.
In addition, alluding to the environmental commitment to connect with the target audience, we eliminated the classic capsule closure to incorporate a cork and natural wood stopper closed with a simple seal. In addition, the label that hugs the bottle (breaking the traditional rules of front and back) is made with a removable adhesive that allows the consumer to separate said label from the bottle, without leaving residue, thus facilitating 100% recycling and minimizing waste energy.
The labels of the different wines illustrate in a very simple way a typical Manchego saying, since the saying is a resource widely used by the character “Sancho Panza” and for this reason this detail was incorporated into the verbal identity of the brand.
