Oveja & Remi Redesigns Viña Ocucaje’s Legacy with Creative Retail Branding

For 121 years, Viña Ocucaje SA has been producing high quality wines and Pisco, in its own wineries located south of the City of Ica, in the valley that is the world’s paleontological paradise, Valle de Ocucaje.
After the expulsion of the Jesuits by Viceroy Abascal, the ownership of the lands of Ocucaje and its artisanal complex of Pisco and Wine production passed through several hands, until in 1898 the first Society was created, formed by the Zunini family. , who became the new great promoters of the production of piscos and wines in this area of the country.

Years later, Don Virgilio Rubini became a collaborator of the company until 1928 when he became a shareholder and after hard work, innovative launches for the time, Don Virgilio revolutionized the world of the Vine in Peru, becoming the great protagonist of the development of wines and piscos that the Ica region has maintained to this day.

Viña Ocucaje has always been a pioneer and today, in the hands of the Eljuri family, it continues to be an example of drive and innovation.

Being a family business since its beginnings, care in the production of its liquids has always been a constant. We care about each of our creations like parents care about their children, because the family spirit always remains present.

Throughout its long history, Piscos y Vinos Ocucaje have won numerous awards in the most prestigious international competitions, having all kinds of medals, in Brussels, Belgium; Seville, Spain; Reims, France; and of course in the national competitions in which we participate.

Ocucaje
Historical records show that vine crops in the Ocucaje valley date back to the time of the viceroyalty, which soon brought with them artisanal production of wines and piscos that in turn stimulated the manufacture of clay jars and botijas. In the 18th century, the lands of the valley and the artisanal wine and pisco production complex passed into the hands of the Jesuits, who gave a special boost to vine planting and the production of spirits.
