OperaEd Visual Brand Identity by Intruekirstyle

OperaEd is a London-based organisation offering interactive, inclusive workshops and performances that spark creativity, imagination and wellbeing.

They exist to inspire and educate a new generation of opera-lovers who do not currently have access to the art form. Their performances and workshops are available in schools across London.

OperaEd’s Founder Helen asked for a brand that is bold, full of colour and modern to make opera more accessible to everyone, regardless of age, socio economics or ethnic background.

The entire visual brand identity represents the playfulness and positivity that OperaEd promises to bring to their fun and immersive workshops and performances. This is done using a rainbow colour palette that attracts a more youthful audience and breaks the stereotyping around Opera.

The graphic created using paint brush strokes is a handwritten style using the letters to write OperaEd. This is used as a brand pattern to create a fun twist and give the brand that playful side alongside the more minimal brand assets such as the logo.

The rounded typeface chosen creates a friendly vibe whilst being bold and simple; to keep it as legible as possible and of course stand out. The logo variations can be used for different materials, the stacked secondary logo is perfect for a small space while the primary logo is perfect for larger, horizontal spaces such as the website.

Marketing via Instagram is important for OperaEd, so creating a few limited edition posts and templates in Canva has made it easy to share their vision and upcoming performances. This also makes it possible for OperaEd’s Founder Helen to edit social posts on the go and with ease.
