Omdesign Honors Portugal’s Ribatejo Region with Quinta da Lagoalva Wine Designs

The Quinta da Lagoalva wine range, designed by Omdesign®, is a visual celebration of Portugal’s deep-rooted heritage and the brand’s commitment to sustainability and respect for nature. Situated in the heart of Ribatejo, the estate’s new graphic identity encapsulates its legacy, traditions, and future ambitions, reflecting the values of the Campilho family, who have nurtured this land for generations.

Omdesign®’s creative approach draws inspiration from the estate’s historical elements and natural surroundings. The main range labels feature original illustrations of the estate’s property, emphasizing the connection between the wines and their terroir. These intricate drawings not only highlight the estate’s architectural beauty but also symbolize the authenticity and heritage embedded in each bottle.

For wines intended for retail distribution, the labels incorporate unique adornments that echo the region’s cultural elements, such as the textured walls of whitewashed Alentejo houses and motifs inspired by the horse cellars of the ranch. This creative design ties the visual identity to the estate’s Lusitano horse breeding heritage, reinforcing a deep respect for local traditions. The choice of eco-friendly materials also reflects Lagoalva’s commitment to sustainability and environmental stewardship.

The colors used also tell a story throughout the brand identity draw from the rich palette of Ribatejo: the white of the estate’s traditional architecture, the ocher of the soil, the green of the vineyards, and the blue of the Tejo River. These tones reflect the estate’s connection to the land and its people, creating a sense of place and belonging that resonates in every design element.

Through this design, Omdesign® has created a visual language that not only celebrates the heritage of Quinta da Lagoalva, but also honors its sustainable vision for the future. This project stands as a testament to the power of design in storytelling and brand development, since each wine tells a story of Lagoalva, making it interesting to work as a collection.
