Olivia Take-out Experience

Olivia Take-out Experience

ImasD – Olivia

An experience of delivery that is conscious of the origin, the process and the result.System of friendly and sustainable packaging, therefore it contributes to the environment for its reduced waste and materials, also when it comes to practicity it has an internal modular system that can be configured for every meals. The challenge:Explore new packaging design options to improve the delivery experience, in order to generate less environmental impact through the materials and their packaging applications. All through a redesign, that includes graphics and structural design, aligned with the values of the brand. What we did:We managed to communicate, through a packaging system, the balance that the brand has always wanted to convey. That which is linked to natural and transparent processes combined with the importance and ease that they want to offer their users giving them a practical, simple and fresh experience when it comes to enjoying a delivery. Most of Olivia’s menu items could be configured thanks to the structural modularity that could be achieved. The main packaging, constituted by a folding half-box of generic pizza of microcorrugated cardboard, accompanied by small containers of waxed cardboard and aluminum, this gives so much versatility to the packaging, that allows to place salads, pastas, lasagna, proteins, calzones, pans, bowls, among others, with their respective companions, that can be consumed from the same package. The pizza at home has another delivery format. The investigation revealed that another of the nonconformities of the people is to receive a pizza with hot and moist vegetables, not fresh, something that is very common and that compromises the quality of the product. The solution adopted was not to include the vegetables from the beginning but to send them separately in different folding to keep them fresh and allow the user to finish building the pizza at home and enjoy it with a higher level of freshness. The packages are currently printed with a natural ink to avoid contamination of the food. In addition, it is a reiteration of the purpose of being a conscious brand. The packaging also has a sticker which you can use to customize the order, indicating the characteristics and allowing immediate identification by users. The dimensions of the main folding were defined thinking that the products inside were tight, avoiding the level of movement and displacement during transport. The process in general has been very careful and we have dedicated our efforts not to leave room for assumptions. The foundation of our research allows today the results to be more than positive and the response from customers is very favorable. The most important thing is that we have managed, together with Olivia’s team, to develop a strategy that reinforces the brand’s commitment to carry its purpose to all its points of contact, generating coherent and rewarding experiences that connect from the functional and the emotional.
