A tribute to the finest Japanese craftsmanship.
Built around the Japanese principles of Monozukuri (purity, precision, process) and Monogatari (storytelling around high quality, premium credentials and international origin), Oaksmith has taken the largest whisky category in the world by storm, becoming a contemporary and progressive world whisky over the last 5 years.
With a differentiated proposition of ‘Finest Japanese Craftsmanship’, the brand has two product offerings in the portfolio with Oaksmith International and Oaksmith Gold.
We were asked to create a limited edition that would drive new news, encourage pickup, and build on the brand’s proud provenance and distinct assets.
To reinforce our Japanese provenance, we looked into the classic world of craft and mark making. The story of Hanko stamps in particular, where every craftsperson applies their own hand carved seal as a sign-off. The Oaksmith crest was re-crafted and applied as a mark, proudly signed by whisky visionary and Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo.
A truly unique creation, the Crafter’s Edition is to be savoured, celebrated and forever remembered.
