NeO Creative Studio Brings Playful Character Branding to Flamintea Matcha

Flamintea is a conceptual branding project that explores how playful character interaction can bring new energy to traditional matcha branding. Instead of treating the mascot as a static symbol, the project positions a flamingo as an active participant in the matcha-making ritual, using interaction as the main storytelling device.

In a category often defined by calm, minimal visuals, Flamintea introduces movement, humor, and personality through a character-driven approach. The flamingo mascot is illustrated blending, whisking, serving, and drinking matcha, allowing the brand to visually communicate the product process in an engaging and light-hearted way. These interactions transform everyday matcha actions into expressive moments, making the brand feel approachable and memorable.

The playful behavior of the flamingo creates a conversational relationship with customers. Through exaggerated poses, expressive gestures, and situational humor, the mascot becomes the voice of the brand, guiding the audience through the matcha experience. This interaction-based storytelling helps humanize the brand while maintaining respect for the ritual and quality behind matcha preparation.

The visual identity is supported by a matcha-inspired color palette and bold typography that allow the illustrations to take center stage without overwhelming the product. Copywriting is kept concise and witty, often responding directly to the illustrated scenes, reinforcing the feeling that the brand is actively communicating rather than simply presenting information.
