Nema Design Hotel & Spa is the rebranding of Elysium Hotel Boutique Hotel. The owners along with the expansion of the 5 start hotel decided to proceed with a renaming and a rebranding of their uniquely designed resort. The main characteristic of the Hotel as well as the identity of the owners is Architecture & Design. So the challenge for the rebranding was to follow the architectural nature of the whole project.
Our design process for the new brand:
Straight lines with no ends, searching for new connections.
Minimal forms and strict geometry in balance with the hotel’s architectural design.
A brand logo that contains every letter of the word in a linear but tangled NM
The typography is linear and clean with custom ends to the letters and the colour palette is inspired by the materials used in the hotel: cement, wood, stone. The design pattern is created with the expansion of lines from the word Nema and takes several forms according to the point of line connection.
The design of the corporate identity incorporates the graphic elements of the new brand and encompasses the images and the feeling of the 5 star design hotel.
The characteristic of the new logo is that it follows the Architectural Design in balance with form and functionality and the meaning of the word Nema: a simple thread that is the beginning of creating and connecting. A humble material that can take so many other forms, meanings and shapes.
In Greek mythology Nema is the string that predestines human relations. Meetings by chance or connections created by this invisible thread regardless of time, place or circumstance.
This Nema can get tangled, contracted or stretched but it can never break.
