Namiya was born as a premium Japanese restaurant in São Paulo, designed to offer much more than a gastronomic experience: a cultural, sensory, and contemplative immersion. Inspired by the heritage of Kanazawa, Japan, the project was guided by the idea of creating a suspended space, where time slows down and every detail invites the public to rediscover the ritual of silence, pause, and contemplation through Japanese haute cuisine. The name, which means House of Waves, reflects the fluidity of the proposed experience: a narrative that moves between tradition and sophistication, between tides and memory.
The creative process began with in-depth cultural research that explored the coastal geography and artisanal richness of Kanazawa. Gold, ceramics, fabrics, and natural forms inspired the visual and verbal identity, conveying a balance between technical precision and poetic sensibility. The graphic identity uses minimalist illustrations, geometric stamps, and a color palette that evokes both the serenity of the waters and the intensity of the raw materials.
The result was a brand that positions Namiya as an accessible luxury space, where design reinforces authenticity and attention to every detail. From the menus to the architectural environment, everything was designed to express a cohesive and unforgettable experience. The communication seeks to translate into words the same sensitivity present in the dishes, with a poetic and strategic tone that invites the public to feel, not just consume. Namiya is not just a restaurant, but a piece of Kanazawa in São Paulo where you can find silence, flavor, and authenticity, where each element tells a part of the same story.
