My Name Is Will Creates a Dynamic and Immersive Brand Experience for DiALAB Festival 2024

The DiALAB Festival is an international event that brings together and celebrates Black talent in the audiovisual industry, connecting professionals, creators, and enthusiasts in Salvador, Bahia. Held during the Brazilian summer, the festival transforms the city into a vast laboratory with business meetings, workshops, consulting sessions, conferences, and film screenings.

More than just an event, the festival elevates Salvador, the capital of Bahia, as a hub for the Black diaspora in Latin America, recognizing its significance as a creative territory.

We collaborate with the DiALAB team to evolve the event’s identity for 2024, designing the image of an international festival that stays true to its roots while embracing its bold Brazilian and Bahian personality.

We started by renewing the festival’s signature to reinforce its role as a space for projection and expansion. More than just an event, DLF becomes a dynamic platform, opening pathways for new experiences and meaningful connections.

The vibrant and dynamic visual system of the DiALAB Festival combines languages, metaphors, and aesthetics to create a bold and versatile identity. Conceptual 3D illustrations and dynamic versions of the DLF acronym carry their own messages, each anchored in four essential themes: creative power, melodrama, global connection, and Y2K culture.

We created a diverse chromatic universe, infused with the pulsating energy of DLF and its people. Vibrant and iridescent gradients evoke the atmosphere of the Brazilian and Bahian summer, translating sensations inspired by urban and coastal landscapes. The color transitions reflect the fluidity of Salvador’s unique sunset, the human warmth that connects people, and the prospect of new professional horizons. The iridescence of the gradients, applied to 3D elements with metallic finishes, amplifies the intensity of the stories told and the festival experience’s pulse. This fusion of color, light, and volume resulted in a contemporary and futuristic aesthetic, symbolizing the movement and continuous transformation that DLF inspires.
