Mr Burke Co Gin & Tonic by PSNDesign

Mr Burke Co Gin & Tonic by PSNDesign

About: Mr Burke Co is a Gin & Tonic ready to drink. Your personality is multiple as is your identity, not binary. Mr. Burke transits through various social spectrums, but his Bohemian profile does not hide an ironic, relaxed and, at times, sarcastic personality. Here’s to the anti-hero.

Concept: The whole project was created so that Mr Burke was authentic, and that it was very different from what we saw in the alcoholic beverage sector. The texture of the paper made the photograph shine. It’s like a fingerprint, the feeling that it was handcrafted, light, smooth. Without pretending to be expensive, automated or lacking in personality. For Mr Burke we had two main flavors (Lemon and Blueberry). And I who didn’t understand anything about Gin (or alcoholic beverages) had to redouble my attention when researching. First of all, I decided to break one of the main unwritten “rules” in the packaging world: that the main information must always be in the central region of the label. And this has a reason to be (in many cases) because the union between the sides can be crooked for any reason during printing, and this can harm your project. But in the case of Mr Burke, the break with this logic came precisely to reinforce the concept of the anti-hero used in the manifesto. And to avoid any production errors, we reduced the size of the artwork so that it had a good unlabelled leftover between one side and the other.
