At Motorola TV, Halloween is more than just costumes and candy—it’s a season to tap into our deepest, most relatable fears in a creative, engaging way. This year, Motorola TV has taken a hauntingly familiar experience and turned it into a captivating campaign that highlights the power of Google TV technology. The idea stems from a universal terror: losing the remote control just when you need it most. Whether you’re about to start a binge-worthy series, pause at a suspenseful moment, or skip a scene you’ve seen a hundred times, that sudden realization of a missing remote has struck fear in all of us.

Motorola’s Halloween campaign, “Where is the Remote?” brings this fear to life by incorporating posters that echo the iconic visuals of classic horror films. These eerie yet humorous images remind us all of the panic that sets in as we search the couch cushions and scramble to find the remote. However, with Motorola TV’s Google TV integration, viewers have an escape from this nightmarish situation. Thanks to Google TV, users can turn their smartphones into remote controls—giving them immediate access to all the features they need without the fear of interruption.

This professional campaign was developed and launched in Ecuador in October 2024 by BBA Ecuador, a creative agency known for its innovative and compelling approaches. The team included DGC Bryan Recalde, Creative Director Roberto Pérez-Rivadeneira, Art Director Andrés Vilaña, Copywriters Jonathan Sthory and Raúl Estrella, Community Manager Camila Estrella, and Account Managers Andrea Espinosa and Dayana Tupiza. Together, they transformed a simple frustration into an impactful, relatable, and seasonally inspired message that highlights Motorola’s technological edge and user-friendly solutions.
