Molivi Design Studio’s Rebranding of Incommon: A Circular Economy with a Playful Touch

incommon is a non-profit organization based in Greece that advocates for the adoption of a circular economy as a way of life with respect for nature and people. Through participatory and creative projects, it demonstrates how we can utilize available resources (both natural and non-natural) in our daily lives, fostering harmony among individuals and with the environment.

In recent years, incommon has transformed into an entity comprising various projects. As its structure and mission evolved, the imperative for a strategic, visual, and verbal rebrand became increasingly apparent.

Over the course of a year, the collaborative efforts between incommon and molivi design studio focused on revising their brand strategy and architecture. The main goal was to ensure that incommon (the mother brand) and its associated projects namely kyklos, kafsimo and food treasure (the sub-brands), had a clear connection and a unified brand. A key aspect of the work involved redesigning all logos to strike a balance between displaying a familial connection and maintaining distinctiveness.

The entire brand identity was meticulously crafted to bring forth the organisation’s unique personality. By seamlessly blending strict geometric shapes with a vibrant and playful colour palette, molivi design studio successfully captured the joyful and playful character of the group. Comprehensive brand guidelines were developed to ensure the purposeful and consistent application of the new brand across all platforms.
