alata stores is a chain of stores offering a unique shopping experience by providing added value in every corner, thanks to high quality and competitive prices. We offer a variety of options that suit healthy and diverse lifestyles in various sections of the store, Fruits and Vegetables Section: We provide high-quality organic produce and long-term offers at special prices, Bakery Section: We offer freshly baked goods daily and special options that satisfy all tastes, Butchery Section: We provide fresh local meats and high-quality imported meats, Additionally, Ata’a Stores offers a wide range of unique options and products that will attract customers and become an essential part of their shopping experience.
alata stores is distinguished by its direct connection between the customer and nature, bringing them closer and providing a different shopping experience than other stores in the region.
The Challenge
Designing a new identity for the store chain “alata” (meaning “Generosity”) that reflects its values and connects with its customers, offering a different experience in every aspect. We sought to express the meaning of generosity. Thinking about the meanings of generosity played a significant role in our research and inspiration process.
The identity must tell a story that reflects the meanings, values, and goals. Our story revolves around the earth, as God Almighty has entrusted it with the secrets of life, including water, food, and treasures. The earth stores water for us, from which plants and trees grow, and it is home to humans and animals.
The earth is generous by its diverse and different nature. From this standpoint, nature was our starting point.
This led us to present an identity that is different in terms of ideas, colors, and spirit, distinguishing it from its competitors in the local market.
Inspiration and Concept Development
Since the earth, with its diverse nature, is the primary source of inspiration and valuable products for our stores, we derived the logo ideas from several elements: human happiness, lines resembling plains and fields, the sunrise, and the shapes of natural fruits and vegetables. We combined and abstracted these ideas to create the iconic logo for Ata’a Stores.
We chose a shade of red to reflect the color of many ripe fruits, which is an attractive color to the human eye. Additionally, we selected turquoise green to harmonize with the chosen red in the logo and to represent one of nature’s colors. We also adopted natural wood color as one of the main materials in the store decor and sections.
