BLU!LAB Design Lab – Skinly Love Your Skin
Skinly combines organic ingredients with the properties of energetic stones and crystals. The starting point for this project was coming up with a name that would encapsulate all of the benefits of this brand´s products, which are all about natural skin care. We then created a logo which is a graphic abstraction of the molecular composition of the epidermis. From these hexagonal interlaping figures we then created the font. We were inspired by the colours of the stones, crystals and iridescence for it´s color scheme, reminding the user of the colours of dawn and sunset. We were lucky enough to explore various printing techniques for this project. We used screen printing, hot stamping, gold foil, holographic textile vinyl, embossing and holographic paper. The result is a beautiful combination of colours, textures and materials that combine subtly to create a strong brand presence.
