Tasting Miskicha is embarking on a fascinating journey through the majestic mountains and rivers of the enigmatic Peruvian jungle, where a small village called Kimbiri stands as a hidden treasure. Here, life breathes and pulses to the rhythm of cocoa cultivation and harvest, creating an ancestral bond between the land and its inhabitants.
At the heart of this community blossoms Miskicha, a cooperative that has woven its existence around the revaluation of ancient customs: ayni and minka. With dedication, the cooperative embraces and protects the biodiversity of its surroundings, a true symphony of life and exuberance that envelops them.
Every facet of the packaging design has been carefully conceived to capture the very essence of Kimbiri, a jewel nestled in the lands of Cusco. With an illustration that wraps around the characteristic Apurímac River, gently flowing at the feet of the village, reflecting the magic and connection of the community, it features a distinctive bridge, a kind of portal that invites you to cross borders and discover a diverse world.
But there’s something more, something that transcends the aesthetic design. Every stroke and every line on the packaging surrenders to the grandeur of the sun, a revered celestial body in Inca culture, a divinity that rises with ancestral power and wisdom. Inspired by ancient customs, the patterns and forms evoke Inca art and looms, carrying a legacy of stories and traditions that intertwine with the deepest roots of this fertile land.
The palette of vibrant and warm colors tells us how the joy and care with which the villagers cultivate this sacred fruit overflow. Each hue recounts a story of passion and dedication, inviting us to delve deeper into the community, which reinvents itself with enthusiasm every day, and explore the dancing biodiversity that surrounds it.
