Restyling of the Amontillado VORS Don Paco: Tradition and innovation in every detail.
Bodegas Barrero, with more than a century of history in the production of wines from Sanlúcar de Barrameda, presents the relaunch of its emblematic Amontillado Don Paco, a wine that embodies the perfect union between tradition and oenological excellence.
Its new design is a tribute to winemaking craftsmanship. Printed on Avery Cotton Touch Craft Plus paper, it combines a unique feel with a handcrafted finish that evokes the heritage of the old soleras. It incorporates three hot stamps (two in old gold and one in bronze), applied with precision to provide elegance and distinction. In addition, a highly complex die-cut adds depth and sophistication to the whole, creating a visual effect that challenges any shelf.
This redesign not only reinforces the brand’s visual identity, but also underlines its commitment to quality and innovation. Each bottle of VORS Amontillado Don Paco is a work of art in itself, designed to captivate collectors and lovers of fine wine alike.
A toast to tradition, innovation and excellence.
A Storied History
The winery’s origins date back to 1798, when the Marquis of Casa Arizón, owner of ships that traded with the Indies, sold the San Pedro winery to the Vicario Iñigo family, a family of shippers to the Indies residing in Cádiz.
Bodegas Barrero is a family business formed from the union of the former company Miguel Sánchez Ayala S.A., with its two wineries in Banda Playa, along with the two main winery buildings of the historic Sanlúcar winery Pedro Romero S.A.
In 1986, almost two centuries later, the Barrero family took ownership after purchasing it from the then-owners of the Vicario Iñigo estate, the heirs of Miguel Sánchez Ayala. The purchase included the Las Cañas vineyard and the two winery buildings in Banda Playa: San Pedro and San Miguel, along with their casks (“botas”) and wines.
Currently, Bodegas Barrero has over 5,300 casks dedicated to aging wines, located right in the lower district (“barrio bajo”), beside the Guadalquivir River and the Sanlúcar beach.
