Mini Bini – Packaging Design for a Mini Roll That Says “Take Me With You” by Minim Design

Challenge:
Zarqand approached Minim Design to create packaging for their new product, Mini Bini — a light mini roll designed for those in-between moments when you want something sweet but also filling. The challenge was to design packaging that would appeal equally to children and parents, standing out among a crowded shelf of competitors.

Research & Insights:
Our market research revealed key insights:
60% of snacks are purchased “on the go,” when consumers don’t have time for a full meal.
In the mini-snack category, the most demanded products are those that both delight with taste and satisfy light hunger.
More than half of parents buy snacks that their children specifically ask for — meaning packaging design directly drives purchase decisions.
Competitors often fall into extremes: overly loud designs that overwhelm, or overly rational designs that feel too adult. The winning formula was to balance joy with trust.

Creative Solution:
Logo Design: A bold, rounded, soft-lined logo makes the brand easy to read and remember. The playful styling of “MiNi” reinforces its friendly tone.
Color System: Bright but not excessive — red stripes for strawberry flavor, purple stripes for berry mix, with flexibility to expand for future flavors.
Product Hero: The roll is shown in an appetizing, irresistible way, encouraging trial.
Mascot: A white bunny character — symbolizing kindness, trust, and lightness. The bunny is a friend for children and a comforting sign for parents.
Brand Atmosphere: The packaging communicates simply: “Take me with you — I’m small, sweet, and will help satisfy your hunger.” A message that works on both emotional and rational levels.

Results:
Mini Bini achieved strong shelf standout with its friendly, approachable image. Parents reported that children specifically requested this product by its packaging — proof that the design resonates. The modular color system enables easy expansion into new flavors, while the bunny mascot provides an additional communication asset for promotions, advertising, and digital campaigns.
