“Meow-meow-meow” is a line of food for cats. All cat lovers are familiar with the requirement of our pets to feed them as soon as possible or give them a favourite treat. Endless meow-meow-meow formed the basis of the packaging design. My task was to visually divide the line into different tastes and different ages of cats. Small kittens squeak and say meow-meow quickly and often, adult cats do it more confidently, older cats meow long. This is reflected in the design. An endless pattern from the Russian transcription of the sound “meow” is made in a handwritten manner and encircles the entire package. On kitten food, the pattern is small and frequent, the older the cat, the larger the pattern on the package becomes. This system turned out to be simple and straightforward. The taste is shown with the help of multi-coloured illustrations, this will help you easily navigate when choosing food in the store. The illustrations themselves are simple and funny. We easily understand their silhouette, and small details do not interfere with the perception of the pattern. The colours are simple and bright, this helps to quickly understand what flavour the food is. It was important for me to make the design of my conceptual packaging simple and clean, so the packaging itself is white. There is only emotional and functional elements, nothing superfluous that could confuse the buyer. Also, this design system is flexible and can be used for different types of packaging, such as cans, small bags or large bags of food.
