Melanina White Wine Label Design by Bacelar-Pereira Design House

They say that everything that is simple is beautiful, but sometimes we cannot escape the complexity of our being. It was this complexity that Maria asked us to translate into a label. Melanin brings us together and separates us, but it is something none of us can dissociate from. It is what we are and we are all in the same way. Deep down, the others are us, a reflection in different colors, the same, only with a heart wounded in different ways. Some have empty holes in their hearts, others the pieces have been mended and regenerated, some have it completely broken up into a thousand pieces, while others feed on a pure and hopeful little heart. Melanina’s illustration evokes and pays homage to Mozambican art, but its essence is a vision of love and multiplicity. Munnikissivela.” – Daniel Bacelar Pereira

“Melanina. The wine that João, one day, promised Maria de Fátima. And if he’s Bardino, she’s Melanin. Munnikissivela means ‘I like you’ in the native language of Mozambique – Maria’s birthplace and like Bardino, Melanina is also a ‘love-friendly’ wine.”
