This wine was produced in beautiful Navarra, one of Spain’s most diverse regions, with records of winemaking dating back to ancient Roman times, but grapes were certainly thriving in this location long before that.
Stone Pine was produced for its heritage of fine quality. As this wine has a higher price point, the overall brief for this project was to perfectly reflect this in the entire packaging, especially the printing techniques.
To achieve this brief, we initially did a lot of market research to find the perfect positioning, followed by several visual mood boards that focused on typography, illustration, packaging and print techniques. We shared this with our client and once discussed, honed in on a route that we both agreed encapsulated the brand and its values.
The overall result was a beautifully classic yet elegant design, where attention to detail was the key. From the finely textured paper stock that has a rustic die-cut torn effect, to the multi-raised embossed illustrations, and even the smaller vintage capsule with a multi-level pine cone emboss, this bottle has no problem grabbing the eye of consumers. All of this is centered around the humble pine cone itself, which we delicately painted in muted colours from above, resembling a blooming flower.
Commercially, the results speak for themselves. Due to the elegant design and finer details in packaging, this product caused a storm in the wine world and sold out online extremely fast, earning rave reviews. Since its initial release, this wine has gone on to win several gold awards. It has also been featured in multiple adverts in print and online in both the UK and USA.
