“Root and Crown is a cold-pressed cider and vodka that uses premium ingredients. My proposal at its core was to play off the whimsical yet regal name while bringing attention to the premium aspect of the hard cider. The design is good-humored, accessible but well crafted, upholding a simple monochromatic color scheme to balance the detailed design.
The logo’s regal custom lettering and rugged yet elegant design elements resemble roots of a tree. The can features custom flourishes and foliage, as well as beautiful engravings of a tree and crown, playing off the regal, crown aspect of the name. All elements of the can are customized, giving an artisan feel to the product, which appeals to both men and women.”
