GO SHORT is an international short film festival that unites authors and connoisseurs of this art. The visual concept is based on a unique metaphor: if a full meter is compared to a large glass of drink, then a short movie is a flavor concentrate in a compact cup that can give no less vivid impressions. The recognizable style of the posters refers to the cinematic firecracker, a symbol of the beginning of filming and the birth of a new art.
The modern design includes a version with a white background that meets current film production standards. Illustrative graphic elements are used in the design of general posters – a scaled-down cup of a drink or a bucket of popcorn, and announcements of individual screenings are complemented by film clips. You can find out about the program from posters in public places: each poster contains the address of the website domain and a QR code that leads to the festival’s website. In addition, you can follow the events and program on social media.
The visual communication of watching a movie begins with the purchase of a ticket. It is decorated according to modern standards in the form of a receipt with a QR code, but in the corporate style of the festival. Each screening is accompanied by a branded screensaver that creates a special atmosphere and immerses the viewer in the world of original cinema. For pleasant movie viewing, small cans of drinks have been designed in a unique style: black background, branded font, and recognizable illustration, as well as miniature popcorn packages continuing the main metaphor of the project. Merch has also been developed for guests: a branded T-shirt with logo and illustration. After watching the movie, one can get acquainted with a themed magazine about directors and their work, also made in accordance with the overall visual concept.
