The concept behind 3 Barrels is rooted in authentic storytelling inspired by a real moment shared by three close friends. Together, they selected three exceptional French oak barrels and allowed the wine to rest and mature slowly for several months. From this simple yet meaningful decision, a narrative of friendship, patience, and craftsmanship was born. The design captures the spirit of this story, translating the personalities and shared vision of these friends into a refined visual language where the number three becomes the central symbol. More than a number, it represents balance, unity, and the bond that connects the people behind the wine.
The packaging concept explores the harmony between different production techniques, combining metal elements with direct printing on glass. This approach creates an elegant contrast between material, texture, and minimal graphic intervention. Guided by the philosophy that less is more, the design avoids unnecessary complexity and instead focuses on carefully crafted details that elevate the bottle into a distinctive object. The result is a sophisticated composition where each element contributes to the overall narrative and aesthetic presence.
At the center of the design is the metallic number 3, sculpted to follow the natural curvature of the bottle. The piece received a special surface treatment that gives it an aged bronze tone, reinforcing the idea of time, heritage, and authenticity. Complementing this element, the back label was printed directly onto the glass, allowing the bottle to maintain a clean and uninterrupted appearance.
To complete the experience, the bottle is sealed with bronze-colored wax and finished with a distinctive knight seal, evoking tradition and nobility. Produced as a limited edition of 900 bottles, the project is presented in a refined wooden transport box with a leather handle, reinforcing its premium and collectible character while honoring the legacy of Casa do Canto, founded in the 17th century.
