Luna is a home business establishment started to work in 2021 in Kermanshah City, with an aim of producing hair accessories. Luna has been named after the Roman Goddess of Moon, Luna. Here we used the term as Luna, the Moon Girl. After a year of successful business, Luna has been developing its service across the country thus the brand needs to stabilize its position in the market. A novel and appealing look has been designed for the brand with an aim of respecting the customer`s taste, while developing an effective communication with the customer.
A codified strategy has been applied to give birth to a story for Luna. The story and its outstanding features inspired our team to create a distinguished projection of the brand.
The general concept of this process is based on curved shape of the moon, geographical location of the brand establishment, cultural characteristics of Persian rituals and architecture of rock reliefs of Taq-e Bostan (Kermanshah, Iran).
Eventually, current inspirations led to creating a new icon, which is capable of presenting various applications. Just like changing colors of headbands, the text can be used in a variety of forms next to the designed logo, both in Farsi and English languages.
To make the brand`s sensation even more tangible for the customers, a series of special patterns has been applied for various application to highlight the integrated visual system. These patterns have been designed to act flexible and capable of transforming into a variety of shapes. Thus, the need for incorporating image and text is met. What is more, signs and symbols of Persian art and architecture in different products are easily observable.
The style used to provide photograph series from the products and the integrated approach to apply the text next to the images are accurately chosen.
After creation and advancement of the story of Luna, the Moon Girl, we involved in a challenge to develop an effective bond between the customer and the brand.
This challenge led to inventing the idea of designing an audio platform to present the story as a series of audio narrations, with a purpose of absorbing the customer into the story so they can imagine themselves as a part of it.
This novel step could be a successful method both to narrate the story of Luna Brand and to tell a sweet story for all little girls in the world. That would be a smart approach to create an emotional communication with the customer, both through text and audio.
At this stage, recording and voice-over process began. For presenting the audio version of the narration for public, we planned to issue the QR Code on products and different advertisement items, to facilitate the access to written or audio versions of story.
We considered particular qualities for designing the product`s packaging. Our optimal purpose has been to develop a practical packaging design for Luna products. It was important to us that the packaging appearance provides visual bonds with the customer. In addition, environmental concerns were observed while designing the packaging, using recyclable materials.
Applying the patterns created for brand`s visual identity, and observing the narrative nature of the brand`s story, we developed a comprehensible and charming appearance for the customer. To attain this goal, we had to maintain the dynamicity of the colors applied in logo design. Accordingly, considering the various shapes of the products, a flexible and narrative design was created.
