Living An Extraordinary Love: Brand Identity for a Christian Podcast and Newsletter

Love: the original, pioneering call for Christians.

Writer and pastor Tim Otto came to me with an exciting ask: create a sublime brand identity for Living an Extraordinary Love, his newsletter and podcast.

The identity needed to appeal to Christians who were desperate to re-engage with the loving heart of the faith, reflecting both the old and new. It also had to be simple, elegant and straightforward.

In my first exploration call with Tim, a word that came up time and again was ‘remember’. This project was clearly all about reminding Christians that their no. 1 witness is to live an extraordinary love.

And so was born the string tied around the finger symbol.

Remember + love + no. 1 = the final logomark.

The brief:
1. To create a sublime brand identity for Tim Otto, who is on a mission to remind Christians that love is at the heart of their faith. This will be explored through stories and reflections.
2. Tim’s destination is what’s always been central to Christianity: loving. Every newsletter, podcast and intervention within Living an Extraordinary Love serves as a gentle reminder to love.
3. The brand identity will balance the old and new while being simple, elegant and straightforward.
