The Leafy project is a package for indoor plant seeds. The plants are selected according to the criterion that they can be grown in florariums. The concept and metaphor of the design refers us to how florariums look from the inside. A large number of different indoor plants creates a cramped environment inside a glass container, and that is why typography and graphics crowd each other, intersect and collide with each other.
I would also like to note that the peculiarity of my packaging is the emphasis on illustrations on both sides.
From the front side of the package, the buyer can see the plant whose seeds are in the sachet. There is a decorative pot on the back side. The interaction of the illustrations can be seen in the layout on the shop windows. Also in the pots on the back of the package there is a description of the plant being sold, namely: the distinctive features of the plant, how to take care of them, as well as how to plant and transplant the plant correctly. Descriptive information does not attract too much attention, since it is only reference material, unlike the typography on the front side of the package. It is dynamic, interacts with the illustration, is part of the composition, it “attracts” customers and notifies about the most important thing: the type of plant
When creating the packaging, I tried to achieve maximum convenience when using. That is why there is an incision on the upper corner of the package, which will help in opening the package. As a form, I chose a sachet, since it does not take up much space on the showcase and in use.
