Poison Studio, a Manchester-based branding and web design agency renowned for its bold and unapologetic approach to creative briefs, was tasked with developing a captivating brand identity for Le Clubhouse, a groundbreaking social sports club from Quebec, Canada, dedicated to revitalizing golf’s appeal among Gen Z.

The primary goal was to craft a powerful, instantly recognizable brand that defied traditional golf stereotypes. As Adrian Trutkowski, the Creative Director behind the project, explained, “The main objective was to create a strong, instantly recognisable brand which you wouldn’t necessarily associate with golf, at least not in the traditional way”

By blending traditional on-course experiences with cutting-edge indoor golfing simulators, stylish lounge areas, and a host of other innovative features, Le Clubhouse aimed to create a more accessible and engaging environment for younger audiences.

Poison Studio’s approach was to infuse the brand with a sense of youthful energy and modern sophistication. The agency’s designers experimented with vibrant color palettes, bold typography, and dynamic imagery to capture the essence of Le Clubhouse’s unique proposition.

Poison Studio’s creative vision for Le Clubhouse was a bold departure from traditional golf aesthetics. By eschewing the stereotypical imagery associated with the sport, the agency successfully created a brand that resonated with a younger, more fashion-conscious audience.

The brand’s visual identity was characterized by a minimalist approach, featuring bold typography, striking color contrasts, and clean lines. The Le Clubhouse logo, a sans-serif design, was a powerful statement of the brand’s identity. The typography was chosen for its modern and sophisticated feel, while the color palette was selected to evoke a sense of energy and excitement.

The success of Le Clubhouse’s brand identity lies in its ability to break free from the constraints of traditional golf aesthetics. By embracing a more contemporary and fashion-forward approach, Poison Studio created a brand that was both visually appealing and culturally relevant. The brand’s visual elements not only attracted attention but also conveyed a sense of exclusivity and prestige.
Le Clubhouse is set to open its doors in Autumn 2024.
