Late Press was created with one intention- to flip the script on the tired “early bird” coffee narrative. Most coffee brands celebrate hustle culture, the 5AM club, and productivity at sunrise. But not everyone belongs to that tribe. Late Press speaks directly to the other side, the late risers, the ones who snooze alarms, forget their keys, and still walk in with effortless main character energy.
The visual identity reflects this mindset in every detail. The cool guy mascot, casual in tank top, cap, and boots – embodies a lifestyle that’s unpolished yet confident. The color palette is warm but laid back, steering away from the hyper energised tones you see in typical coffee branding. Labels and stickers are treated with honesty and playfulness “planet friendly” is stamped not as a marketing tactic but as a subtle nod to values that matter without overexplaining.
Strategically, Late Press positions itself as more than a coffee brand, it’s a cultural alignment. Instead of trying to be aspirational, it leans into relatability. The brand message is clear: the world doesn’t actually reward waking up early, it rewards authenticity. That’s why the design feels imperfect, lived in, and real because that’s what clicks with the right people.
Late Press is not about doing more, waking earlier, or running faster. It’s about showing up when you’re ready, in your own rhythm, coffee in hand.
