La Tomasita Delicatessen Branding and Packaging

La Tomasita Delicatessen isn’t merely a bakery; it’s a comforting slice of home  right heart of Lima. It offers more than just sweets and desserts; it serves up nostalgia, taking you back to your childhood memories of homemade desserts and quaint family-owned bakeries.They’re not just about dropping off treats; they want to create a world where stories are shared, friendships are forged, and bonds are strengthened over shared love for good desserts and shared memories. Whether you’re savoring a freshly baked pastry on a rainy day or simply taking a bite of a cookie with a steaming cup of coffee, La Tomasita wants to invite you to connect, to slow down, and to savor the simple pleasures of life.

The brand’s aesthetic pays homage to the Art Deco era, characterized by its geometric shapes, intricate tiles, and symmetrical designs. However, it infuses a contemporary twist, blending the nostalgia of yesteryears with modern sensibilities. The main logo draws inspiration from the charm of hand-painted signage, the kind we usually see in our day to day basis in Lima on small businesses shop-windows, or custom vintage signs, where every detail, stroke, and shadow adds a distinct human touch, captivating passersby and bringing live to any facade.

While building the color palette for this project, we aimed for a mature brand with elegance infused with spark and joy. Shades of dark green, creamy hues, and vibrant oranges were carefully selected to evoke a sense of playfulness while maintaining an air of sophistication. Together, these elements harmonize to create an interesting contrast that is both welcoming and visually captivating, inviting people to indulge in a delightful journey of flavors and memories.
