“Kokasasu” is a newly opened sushi restaurant located in the heart of Eastern Europe, specifically in the culturally rich Caucasus region. It is a place where culinary artistry meets refined design, turning your most delicious dreams into reality. I am proud to present one of my latest and most exciting design projects—the complete packaging and brand identity for Kokasasu. This project was not limited to designing just the packaging; it also included creating the logo and establishing the entire visual identity of the brand from scratch.

The name “Kokasasu” is a creative blend that translates to “Caucasus” from Japanese to English, which immediately inspired the direction of the brand concept. Instead of using the traditional imagery often associated with sushi restaurants—such as chopsticks, fish, or rolls—I wanted to highlight the unique connection between the Japanese name and the local essence of the Caucasus. The Caucasus region is known for its abundance of jasmine flowers, which became a central symbol in the branding. The logo I designed incorporates the delicate elegance of jasmine, blended with clean lines and a minimalist Japanese-style font to reflect both cultural roots and modern aesthetics.

Every detail of the packaging and branding was carefully thought out to create a harmonious fusion of Eastern tradition and local charm. The result is a visual identity that feels fresh, authentic, and reflective of the story behind Kokasasu. All ideas, concepts, and illustrations were created by me, with a focus on telling a story through design that invites customers into a unique experience from the moment they see the packaging.
