Kingdom & Sparrow Supporting Mental Health for Creatives with Think Feel Creative Campaign

Kingdom & Sparrow Supporting Mental Health for Creatives with Think Feel Creative Campaign

Think Feel Creative – A campaign designed for the creative community over Mental Health Awareness Week

For Mental Health Awareness Week 2021 (MHAW) the design team at Kingdom & Sparrow have put together their Think Feel Creative campaign, highlighting some of the everyday struggles that creatives face to raise money for mental health charity Mind.

Taking a visual stance: Over the last year these struggles have really come into focus for the creative community in particular, as people across the globe dealt with the isolation and creative difficulties of working from home. Think Feel Creative came about in response to this, with the Kingdom & Sparrow team wanting to contribute and show solidarity with the rest of the creative community, while raising money to support mental health.

With many of the online resources and support often being very wordy, the Kingdom & Sparrow team wanted to create something graphic and illustrative to engage the more visually minded – tackling experiences from creative block to imposter syndrome. Think Feel Creative therefore includes a purposefully visual and an easily digestible website to engage other creatives, acknowledging that we all experience similar challenges.

Facing daily creative stresses: Experiences like creative block aren’t an everyday problem for many, but for a creative professional this can be incredibly difficult and isolating, especially when they’re not sharing these everyday challenges. So the campaign seeks to normalise these all-too-familiar experiences whilst raising money for Mind.org.uk through the sale of their illustrated t-shirts.

A website built through solidarity: Whilst the Think Feel Creative campaign will be running across Instagram throughout Mental Health Awareness Week, everything the K&S team has put together can be found on the website. Here, you can buy the team’s unique Think Feel Creative T-shirts and all profits will go to Mind.

ThinkFeelCreative.co.uk also links out to supportive resources that tackle or reflect each creative challenge in different ways, including: Articles, Podcasts, Playlists and Illustrations,

Throughout the week, starting on the 10th May, the team will be sharing clips, resources and other Think Feel Creative content via Instagram. Follow them to keep up with the campaign at @kingdomandsparrow, or tag your own contributions with #thinkfeelcreative to get involved in the conversation.

There are companies out there providing further support and resources on mental health issues, some geared solely towards the creative industry.
