Overview

Ten Falls Cider Works is a craft, organic cidery rooted deep in the culture of Oregon. Born from an appreciation of Oregons seasons, slow living and the Trail of Ten Falls Trailhead in Silver Falls State Park, Oregon. Ten Falls exists on the kind of land that breathes towering trees, mist, moss, and quiet intention.

The brand is built around a simple idea: when you slow down and move with nature, it shapes what you create; how you live. Ten Falls reflects that rhythm. Every cider is foraged or hand-selected at its peak, reflecting the raw, unfiltered beauty of the Pacific Northwest. This project was about capturing that feeling in a visual identity; earthy, thoughtful, and honest. A brand that feels like stepping into a misty forest at dawn, and being grateful for the warmth the sunlight brings.

Research

My research centered on understanding the soul of Oregon’s landscape, seasons and the traditions of true craft cider-making. I studied the regions seasonal foraging patterns, organic orchard practices, local flora and fauna and the intimate way local cideries rely on the land. I also examined modern PNW cider brands to figure out where Ten Falls could stand apart. I wanted to lean deeper into authenticity and less into trend. Into the land. Into the quiet moments that give the Northwest its magic.

Final Design

The final identity pulls heavily from the region itself; muted forest tones, warm orchard hues, and label compositions inspired by vintage naturalist aesthetic and minimalism. Typography communicates sturdy and classic, grounding the brand while letting the narrative breathe. Each bottle label was designed for a specific season taking into consideration proper natural Oregon flavors to incorporate accordingly.

“Thoughtfully Crafted by Nature. Guided by Time & Tradition.” becomes the anchor line; honoring craft and patience and the quiet cycles of nature. The handmade feel continues through the signature of the Head Cider Master (a mix of my grandfathers names); textured paper stocks, and color-specific variations that distinguish each cider without losing cohesion. Everything feels intentional, slow, and rooted in place.

Engagement

Ten Falls is meant to be experienced, not just consumed. It’s the magic felt when walking deep in a forest, the calm before sunrise, time with loved ones and friends; the kind of moments you wish would linger just a little longer. The brand invites people back into nature, back into themselves, and into the stories we tend to remember most. It positions Ten Falls as an honest, grounded, and soulful part of the Pacific Northwest; crafted for explorers, wanderers, and anyone who appreciates mindfulness and simplicity intentionally done well.
