” During my sustainable design course, I was tasked to create a sustainable project. My class partner, Cara Bono, and I chose to design the packaging for a surf watch, which was originally a Rip Curl product. We designed our package with a minimalist style to limit the printing needed, and printed on recycled chipboard to work with the company’s style and sustainable based practices. Our final design is our most sustainable version, using a very small amount of ink by only having the necessary elements on the package. This design is very modern and minimalist, fitting in well with our product and male demographic. The final design was printed on the 100% recycled chipboard, helping be more sustainable.”
