Jameson Remastered Packaging Design

With the phenomenal success of Jameson Irish Whiskey all around the world, it’s easy to forget the Jameson was always the pioneer of premium Irish whiskey and with over 200 years of craftsmanship and expertise.

We were tasked with generating ideas for a new stream of Jameson products; small-batch, special initiatives that would appeal to whiskey geeks and influencers and not just the mainstream.

A workshop generated a broad range of ideas which where developed and crafted. Two ideas were selected and layered into one innovation concept to reflect the brands principle of Inventive Purists.

Inspired by the past but redesigned by the present, the Jameson Anthology is a two part collection of unique and rare Irish whiskeys. Like great classic music albums gone before, Jameson Remastered takes originals from the back catalogue and artfully reworks them to deliver a whole new experience. Jameson Remixed meanwhile explores and experiments with new tunes from Jameson for an altogether different take on the classic whiskey taste.

The first release comes from the Jameson Remastered collection and is a 15 Year Old expression of a Jameson Single Pot Still Irish Whiskey.

The 500ml bottle captures the understated ‘from the distillery’ feel, with a carefully crafted label that tells the story of this unique and rare liquid. The bottle is wrapped in paper, the paper telling the story of Jameson with rare and never-seen-before excerpts of the brands history from the archives. On the reverse is an introduction to the new range together with tasting notes.

The bottle is presented in a 100% recyclable box, cleverly constructed and custom made from card. The whiskey is the star of the show, which is why the packaging has been kept simple.

The bottle was released in March 2022 retailing at €300 with a limited quantity of 2,220 bottles, which were only available through two online ballots.

Further releases of the range are planned for 2023.
